This marks a significant change in CS2's competitive landscape, as Vertigo had replaced Train in CS:GO back in 2019. While players welcome Train's return, the community has noted that some adjustments may be needed based on professional feedback after initial matches.

The change is expected to be adopted by other tournament organizers, aligning with the Major events that traditionally set the standard for competitive play. This shift represents one of several major changes to the official map pool, which has previously seen additions like Anubis and Ancient.
