Iconic Warzone Weapons Set to Make Comeback with Verdansk in Season 3

Call of Duty: Warzone's iconic Verdansk map is making its highly anticipated return in season 3, alongside several classic weapons from the game's early days.
According to CharlieIntel, fan-favorite weapons like the Grau 5.56 assault rifle and HDR sniper rifle are expected to return to the game. These weapons were meta-defining choices during Warzone's initial release but haven't been available for several years.

The Grau 5.56, introduced in Modern Warfare's season two (2020), quickly became a top-tier weapon choice. The HDR established itself as the premier long-range sniper rifle, capable of one-shot eliminations at extreme distances.

If these weapons return, other classic guns like the Bruen Mk9, Kar98k, and AX-50 might also make a comeback. The timing aligns perfectly with Warzone's five-year anniversary on March 10, and Activision's previous confirmation of Verdansk's return in early 2024.

Season three of Black Ops 6 is expected to launch on March 20, following a quieter season two that focused on bug fixes and game improvements. More details about the update will be revealed in the coming weeks.
