Riot Games has confirmed the return of Hextech Chests to League of Legends after resolving the technical issues that forced their temporary removal from the game.

The company initially disabled Hextech Chests due to critical bugs affecting the reward system, but players can now expect them to be fully operational again following the latest patch deployment.

During the downtime, Riot compensated affected players with bonus currency and temporarily increased drop rates for key fragments to ensure players wouldn't miss out on rewards. The development team has also implemented additional safeguards to prevent similar issues in the future.

Players can now resume:

  • Opening existing Hextech Chests in their inventory
  • Earning new chests through S-rank performance
  • Purchasing chests from the store
  • Converting key fragments into keys
  • Receiving chest rewards from events

Riot emphasized that all previously earned rewards are safe and will be available once players log back into the game. The standard chest acquisition limit of four per month remains unchanged.

For optimal chest farming, players should:

  • Focus on different champions each week
  • Maintain high CS scores
  • Achieve good vision scores
  • Participate actively in team objectives
  • Maintain a positive KDA ratio

The return of Hextech Chests coincides with the launch of new seasonal content, giving players additional opportunities to earn exclusive rewards through the loot system.
