THE FINALS developer Embark Studios has shared exciting plans for the game's future as it approaches its first anniversary. The team is focusing on expanding the game's core features and introducing new social elements.

Creative Director Gustav Tilleby emphasizes that dynamism remains a central focus, with plans to enhance destruction mechanics and add new ways for players to interact with environments. While the current destruction system is impressive, the team sees significant room for improvement and expansion.

Season 5 introduces several key features:

• New Location: Bernal, Mexico map featuring enhanced rooftop gameplay
• Club System: A social hub supporting up to 50 players
• New Equipment: Additional weapons and gadgets including the Gravity Vortex and Lockbolt Launcher
• Anniversary Celebrations: Special features including a music player

The developers are carefully balancing content additions, with Animation Director Mikael Hogstrom noting that each season may have different priorities for new items. The team is open to future adjustments, including potential reworks or rotation changes once they achieve their desired variety of playstyles.

The World Tour mode, introduced in Season 3, will continue to expand. Tilleby hints at "big plans" for this game show-themed feature, suggesting it will become a platform for more experimental and creative content.

The Club feature prioritizes social interaction over competitive elements in its initial release, aiming to create a stronger community within the game. Players can collaborate on contracts and earn XP together.

Season 5 launches December 12, marking the next evolution of THE FINALS' dynamic gameplay experience.
