Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have created over 432 million sandwiches during their first two years of gameplay, with some fascinating trends emerging from player data.

The most popular sandwich combinations featured unusual ingredient mixtures including butter, mayo, wasabi, peanut butter, tomato, green pepper, and ham. These ingredient choices likely reflect players' focus on breeding Pokémon and shiny hunting, as these combinations create powerful Egg Power effects.

The most frequently caught Pokémon by type were:

  • Normal: Deerling, Fletchling, and Lechonk
  • Flying: Rookidee, Bombirdier, and Flamigo
  • Fire: Growlithe, Litleo, and Charcadet

Popular Tera Raid targets included Charizard, Blissey, Ditto, Cinderace, and Eevee. Players frequently crafted TMs for Take Down, Drain Punch, Tera Blast, Mud-Slap, and Protect.

The games have achieved remarkable success in Japan, becoming the highest-selling Pokémon titles ever with over 8.3 million copies sold, surpassing the previous record held by Pokémon Red and Green.

Looking ahead, The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A, set in the Kalos region, scheduled for release in 2025.
