Luminosity Gaming Completes Epic Reverse Sweep Against Cloud9 in NA 2K Tournament
Luminosity Gaming completed an impressive reverse sweep against Cloud9 to win the North American 2K tournament, securing $2,000 and 8,000 pro points.
The third-seeded Luminosity overcame strong competition, defeating Str8 Rippin, FaZe Clan, and Cloud9. Their path to victory included a dramatic reverse sweep against Str8 Rippin, where Nick "Classic" DiCostanzo made a crucial play using Active Camo to turn the series around.
In the finals against Cloud9, who recently qualified for CWL Global Pro League Stage 2, Luminosity showed their resilience. After falling behind 0-2, they dominated the following maps:
- Uplink: Won 12-3
- Scorch Hardpoint: Won 250-165
- Retaliation Search and Destroy: Won 6-2, with Classic and Saints combining for 20 kills

- eUnited: Reached semifinals before losing to Cloud9
- FaZe Clan: Eliminated in semifinals by Luminosity

Following their CWL Anaheim Open victory and this 2K win, Luminosity enters Stage Two of the CWL Global Pro League as favorites. They begin their Group Red campaign on June 30, facing Evil Geniuses, Mindfreak, and Fnatic.
