Former LoL World Champion Doinb Returns to LPL, Joins Ninjas in Pyjamas
Former League of Legends World Champion Doinb has ended his two-year competitive hiatus by joining LPL team Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP). The veteran mid laner, known for leading FPX to victory at Worlds 2019, will return to professional play in the 2025 LPL Split One.

NIP's roster remains partially incomplete, with top laner shanji and jungler Aki's contracts yet to be renewed. The organization appears to be building a potential superstar lineup, featuring established players like ppgod alongside Doinb.
Doinb's current form remains uncertain following his extended break, which began after failing to qualify for Worlds in late 2022. His last major international appearance was at Worlds 2021, where FPX was eliminated in the group stage.
The South Korean mid laner is most remembered for his dominant 2019 performance, where he led FPX to victory at Worlds, defeating G2 Esports in the finals and preventing the European team from completing their potential Golden Road achievement.
Fans can watch Doinb's return when NIP faces Invictus Gaming on January 19, following the 2025 LPL Split One's commencement on January 12.
