League of Legends seasons bring fresh opportunities for players to climb ranks, experience new patches, and earn rewards. Each year typically features 24 game-changing updates that keep the MOBA experience dynamic for both veterans and newcomers.

Each season brings:
- New ranked opportunities
- Balance patches
- Seasonal rewards
- Rank resets
End-of-Season Rewards:
- Loading screen borders
- Victorious skins (earned through tokens)
- Profile icons
- Rewards based on highest achieved rank

Changes Coming in 2025:
- Shift from annual seasons to three themed seasons per year
- Each season will feature distinct experiences and themes
- Focus on refreshing both gameplay and narrative elements

"Our goal is for each season to feel distinct with different experiences, themes, and moments highlighted," says League studio head Andrei van Roon.
